My Lash Story

Growing up in a humble small town in Brazil with a single Mom  I never thought I would be where I am today. I came to the United States alone when I was only seventeen years old. Options for work were limited for a teenager with no United States education and not speaking the language. I was able to find work in New Hampshire as a house cleaner, “a helper “as the industry calls it. I didn’t have my own schedule or houses but worked for someone else making just enough money to pay for a roof over my head.

While working as a house cleaner I started talking classes at night to learn English, thinking it would lead to more opportunities in the future knowing both Portuguese and English. When I eventually moved just outside of Boston a few years after arriving, the English classes paid off in a big way.

While working for a different cleaning company one of the clients offered me to be the cleaner of her property and I was able to transition from helper to working for a family. I did everything they asked, from cleaning, to laundry, to buying groceries, helping them prepare food. Anything they asked, any time they asked I was there.

It was when I was working for this one family that it clicked for me that to become my own boss I needed to do something different.

I decided to take esthetician classes at Flávia Leal in Woburn at night, while working for this family during the day. Going to school part time at night and working full time during the day meant I had 14 - 16 hour days from months, but my goals were fast approaching realization.

After I graduated from esthetician school, and passed my state board exam, I was able to use some of the money from my job to rent a room in an esthetician clinic in Everett.

Every day I would go to work, run home and then run to the lash studio to see clients, sometimes until 11:00 at night. Over time my skills and my client list developed to allow me to leave my first job and focus on lashing full time.

In that transition I opened my own clinic with an industry colleague and exclusively focused on lashing. I took dozens of classes, both in person and online with some of the best and most notable lash artists and lash companies in the industry. Lash makers, borboleta, maven and so on. I invested in myself to continue to grow my skill set and offer my clients top tier techniques and customer service.

It was while lashing full time, that it dawned on me that I could create an easier path for others with similar circumstances. I could help create the future generation of lash artists by combining all of my knowledge, from the practical application skills, to creating and growing a client list, to running a business, into one class that would allow others to achieve their goals in the lash industry.

For months I worked combining all I had learned in the last few years into a comprehensive course to get people ready to enter into the lash industry.

I would come home at night from work and sit on my laptop for hours developing content and synthesizing my knowledge into success points for my students.

After a few years of lashing and teaching, I decided to transition fully to the teaching process, and took courses on content development, customer psychology and successful selling to create the most comprehensive lash and business course. My students leave my class ready to lash and ready to successfully begin their work in the industry and grow their business.

Now I have been teaching and refining my course materials and developing new and cutting edge content as a lash educator for years. I am proud to say I have taught hundreds of women and men and have seen so much success in the industry from many of my former students.

" It is an honor to teach each and every student and I make sure that I give each student the time, tools, and support necessary for them to achieve their dreams. "
